# Google Tag Manager ## Introduction Sellers need to track e-commerce activities that customers perform on the websites. Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and Google Ads are among the tools that help you monitor the performance of your online business. However, your website cannot readily interact with these tools; therefore, you may use Google Tag Manager (GTM), a facilitator between your website and the marketing analytics tools. ## Steps to use Google Tag Manager Extension 1. Go to [Google Tag Manager](https://tagmanager.google.com/). 2. Sign in with your Google account. 3. Use a descriptive name, so you can easily tell what this account is used for when you see it in the list of accounts. 5. In this example, we will analyse user behaviour on desktop and mobile web. Note down the container ID as shown below. Enter the container ID here. Use **Ctrl+F** and type gtm.
