# Shipping Zones How to access on Fynd Commerce Commerce Panel → Sales Channel (select application) → Configuration → Shipping → Shipping Zones ## Overview Shipping Zones let merchants limit deliveries to specific areas. Define zones by selecting locations (pincode, city, state, country) or by drawing them on a map. You can also choose which store fulfills orders and which products are available in each zone. The process of creating a shipping zone is outlined below. ## Steps to Create a Shipping Zone 1. Navigate to Shipping Zones page. This page lists all fulfilment options and their respective shipping zones. 2. Select the fulfilment option under which you want to create the shipping zone. then click **Create New**. ### Zone Details 1. When creating a shipping zone, you can define it in two ways — **By Location** or **Create on Map.** 1. **By Location:** Use this option when you want to define zones based on **existing geographical identifiers** such as: 1. Country/State/Area 2. Postal code (PIN code or ZIP code) 2. **Create on Map:** This option allows you to **manually draw a zone on map** or **auto-generate it by delivery distance or time** from a fulfilment location. 2. Enter a name for the shipping zone. A **code** (slug) will be generated automatically once you enter the name. 3. Select the **fulfilment option** under which you want to create the shipping zone. ### Selling Locations 1. In the selling locations section, click **Add**. 2. Choose the relevant locations from the list that appears. 3. Click **Save** to confirm the selling locations. To remove a location, uncheck the corresponding box. ### Geographical Areas You can define geographical areas for shipping zones in two ways — **By Location** or **Create on Map**. Each option offers flexibility depending on how you want to manage your delivery coverage. **By Location** 1. Click **Add** and choose between **Bulk** or **Manual**. 2. **Bulk Option:** Use this when you need to add multiple cities or postal codes quickly. 1. Download the sample file. 2. Fill in the required details for multiple locations. 3. Upload the completed file to add all areas at once. 3. **Manual Option:** Use this when you want to define zones manually. 1. Select the filter type — **Pincode**, **Country**, **State**, or **Area**. 2. Choose the relevant regions from the list. **Create on Map** 1. Click **Add** to open the **Create Polygon** screen. Enter a **Polygon Name.** 2. You can define a shipping zone on the map using three methods: 1. **Travel Time:** This option is useful for businesses managing time-based deliveries. 1. Enter the delivery time, and the system automatically highlights the area reachable within that duration. For example, entering 10 minutes shows the area serviceable within 10 minutes from your store. 2. By default, the option **Use Store Location as Starting Point** is enabled. This draws serviceable area around the store. If you disable it, you can move the marker to another pickup hub. For example, if you want to offer express delivery within 30 minutes for fast-moving products, select the time-based zone option. 2. **Travel Distance:** This option is ideal for businesses that operate within a fixed service radius. 1. Define your zone based on distance instead of time. For example, entering *10,000 meters* creates a 10 km radius around your store. For example, if your delivery partners cover a specific distance, choose the distance-based zone option. For instance, you can define a 5 km radius around the store to match their coverage area. 3. **Manual Drawing:** This option is perfect for areas with irregular delivery boundaries or geographic constraints. Create a custom zone by clicking on the map to drop points and shape the boundary exactly as needed. 3. Draw a **Dead Zone** inside the polygon to exclude non-serviceable areas, such as industrial or restricted zones. Create a dead zone by clicking on the map to drop points and shape the boundary exactly as needed. 4. To add another polygons for the same store, click **Create Polygon** again. 5. Once all zones are created, click **Done** to save your configurations. ### Product 1. You can add products by: * By Department * By Categories * By Product Tag * By Product * All Products 2. Click on the **Add** button. 3. Search and select the relevant entries. 4. Click **Add** to confirm, then **Save**. 5. If you select **All Products**, all available products will be automatically included in the zone. 6. The new shipping zone will appear under the selected fulfilment option on the **Shipping Zones** page. ## Coverage map The coverage map provides a **consolidated, map-based view of all delivery zones created using the “Create on map” method**. This lets merchants: * Visually confirm all serviceable areas across stores * Identify **dead zones -** areas not covered by any polygon * Compare multiple polygons for a sales channel on a single screen On the **right side of the screen**, the interactive map displays all the polygons. You can zoom, move around, and select individual zones to inspect or edit them. On the **left side**, a list of zone names allows quick navigation. Use the coverage map to view and manage shipping zones that were created using the **Create on map** method. 1. On the **Shipping Zones** page, select **Coverage Map** from the top-right menu. 2. Use the search bar to find a shipping zone by name. 3. Select a zone from the list on the left to view its coverage area on the map. You can: * View polygon boundaries of each shipping zone. * Check the zone's **status** (Active or Inactive). * Identify service areas across fulfilment types like Standard Delivery, 30 Min Delivery, or Express Delivery. To update or extend an existing shipping zone: 1. Select the zone name from the list. 2. On the map view, choose **Edit** to update the zone's polygon. 3. To add a new polygon to the selected zone, select **Create Polygon**, then manually draw the boundary on the map. > To learn how to create new zones on the map, refer to the **Create on map** section above. When done, select **Done** to save the changes.
