Commerce Panel → Sales Channel (select application) → Theme → Store Design
This covers the lifecycle of a theme: finding and installing one, switching to a different theme, keeping it up to date, and removing themes you no longer use. For editing the active theme, see Get Started.
When you open Store Design, your themes appear in three categories:
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| Active Theme | The theme currently live on your storefront. Customers see this theme. |
| Theme Draft | A theme you are working on but have not yet published. Changes here don't affect the live store. |
| Theme Collection | All themes installed in your organisation: active, drafts, and unused themes. |
Themes are installed from the Fynd marketplace.
- Go to Commerce Panel → Sales Channel → Theme → Store Design.
- Click Explore Themes to explore the themes marketplace or browse the marketplace section.
- Find a theme you want and click Try Now.
- Review the theme details and preview.
- If applicable, choose which sales channels should receive a draft of this theme.
- Confirm the installation.
The theme appears in your Theme Collection as a draft. It is not live until you publish it.
Switching your active theme changes what customers see on your storefront.
- Go to Commerce Panel → Sales Channel → Theme → Store Design.
- In your Theme Collection, find the theme you want to switch to.
- Click Preview to see how it looks with your store's content.
- If satisfied, click Publish.
- Confirm the change when prompted.
The selected theme becomes your new Active Theme immediately after publishing.
Theme developers release updates that may include new sections, bug fixes, or performance improvements. When an update is available, a notification appears in Store Design.
- Go to Store Design and look for the update notification on your active theme.
- Click Update Available option. This is visible only when the theme draft is not the latest version of the theme.
- Click Update to apply the new version.
- The new updated theme gets added as a theme draft.
- Publish the newly updated theme draft to make the newly updated live.
Removing a theme uninstalls it from your entire organisation. This can't be undone.
- Go to Company Settings → Theme
- Find the theme you want to remove in the installed themes list.
- Click Remove next to the theme.
- Confirm the removal.
