# Write Your Content

This covers how to edit text and images on your storefront: whether you do it manually or use AI to help.

## Editing text fields directly

1. Select a section or block in the configuration panel or preview.
2. In the section or block configuration on the configuration panel, find the field you want to change (e.g., Heading, Description, Button label).
3. Click the field and type your content.
4. The preview updates as you type.
5. Click **Save** in the toolbar or press `Cmd+S` (Mac) / `Ctrl+S` (Windows) to save your changes.


## Using AI to write or improve text

Any field with an **AI icon (✦)** next to it supports AI generation. You don't have to write from scratch: describe what you want, and AI produces a draft you can review and apply.

### How to use it

1. Click the **AI icon** next to a text field.
2. The AI writing panel expands for the field.
3. Choose your settings:
  1. **Tone**: the writing style (see options below)
  2. **Length**: Summarize (shorter) or Descriptive (longer)
4. Click **Generate**. The AI writes a suggestion based on the field context and your settings.
5. Review the output. If you like it, click **Apply**. If not, adjust settings and generate again.
6. Click **Save** in the toolbar or press `Cmd+S` (Mac) / `Ctrl+S` (Windows) to save your changes.


### Tone options

| Tone | Style |
|  --- | --- |
| **Expert** | Authoritative, informed, confident |
| **Daring** | Bold, attention-grabbing, edgy |
| **Playful** | Light, fun, conversational |
| **Sophisticated** | Refined, elegant, premium feel |
| **Persuasive** | Compelling, action-oriented |
| **Supportive** | Warm, empathetic, reassuring |
| **Custom** | Describe the tone in your own words |


Choose the tone that fits your brand voice.

Selecting **Custom** reveals a text field where a specific tone can be described — for example, *"approachable"*. You can switch tones and regenerate as many times as you'd like.

## Adding images

Image fields appear in section and block configuration alongside text fields. For any image field, there are three ways to set an image:

* **Upload from device:** click the upload area and select a file from your computer.
* **Add via URL**: paste a direct link to an image hosted online.
* **Generate with AI:** describe the image you want and AI produces one based on your prompt.


The preview updates as soon as an image is set.

## Using your voice instead of typing

For any AI-enabled field that supports it, you can dictate your prompt instead of typing it:

1. Click the **microphone icon** in the AI writing panel.
2. Allow microphone access if prompted.
3. Speak your instruction: for example, *"Write a confident headline for a seasonal sale on women's clothing"*.
4. Your speech is transcribed into the prompt field automatically.
5. Click **Generate** as usual.


## Tips for better AI-generated content

* **Be specific about the subject:** *"A headline for a flash sale on running shoes"* → better than *"A sale headline"*
* **Include the audience:** *"...for fitness enthusiasts aged 25–40"*
* **Mention what's already there:** *"Rewrite this to be shorter and punchier"*
* **Try different tones:** if Expert feels too stiff, try Daring or Playful
