# Search Re-Ranking

How to access on Fynd Commerce 
Commerce Panel → Sales Channel (select application) → Search → Re-Ranking

## Introduction

In this section we create keywords that can be used to search the products belonging to any specific brand or category on the website. The search results will list the products based on the priority that has been set in the sales channel settings.

## How this works

**Scenario 1**

Let's generate a keyword for **Brand** such that when the keyword is entered in the PDP page, the search results will rank the products belonging to that brand first. For e.g. **shirts** belonging to a specific brand will be listed higher than other brands.

1. Go to the PDP page of your website and enter **shirt** in the search box. The shirts of the brand with the highest count (shirts) will be listed first.

1. Go to **Search Re-Reranking** in channel settings and click **Create**
2. Type **shirt** in the **Words** section and click on **Add**

1. Select **Brand** from the dropdown column.

1. Select **Cenewt** from the list of brands.

1. Click **Save**

1. Now navigate to the PDP page and type **shirt**, the shirts from the brand **Cenewt** will be displayed first as they are now ranked higher above other brands.

1. Now go back to the keyword settings and add another brand. Let's add **Newton**. Move this brand to the top.

1. Now navigate back to the PDP page and type **shirt** in the search box. The shirts by **Newton** brand will be listed first as it is ranked higher now.

**Scenario 2**

Let's generate a Keyword for **Category** searches such that when the keyword is entered in the PDP page, the search results will rank the products belonging to that category first. For e.g. **casual** for category **t-shirts**.

1. Navigate to your PDP page and enter **casual** in the search box. The listing will show random casual products.

1. Let's create a new keyword, enter **casual** in the Word section. Click **Add** and select **Category** and **t-shirt** from the list.
