# Store OS Overview **Fynd Store OS** is an all-in-one retail operating system designed to digitize and streamline in-store operations across various retail formats. Built on top of the **Fynd Commerce** unified platform, it empowers businesses to enable assisted sales, checkout, and customer engagement from mobile devices, tablets, terminals, and kiosks. ## Modules Supported Store OS currently supports multiple in-store selling channels through Android and iOS applications, as well as web-based solutions: 1. POS & mPOS - Terminal POS for full-fledged checkout at counters. - Mobile POS for lightweight, handheld checkout and assisted sales. 2. Clienteling (Assisted Selling) - **Endless Aisle**: Take orders for out-of-stock items. - **Distance Selling**: Enable digital storefronts for remote selling. 3. Scan & Go - Customer-led checkout by scanning product barcodes via mobile devices. 4. Self-Checkout Kiosk - Standalone kiosks for self-service purchases at retail stores. 5. Fynd & Go (Web-based extension) - Enables Self-Checkout via mobile and kiosk-based interfaces. ## Platform & Device Support - Mobile & Tablet: Android and iOS supported. - Terminal Devices: For POS counters (e.g., Posiflex). - Kiosk: Dedicated Android-based kiosks. - Web: Fynd & Go accessible via browsers. ## Backend & Configuration All configuration and backend operations are powered by: - Fynd Commerce : Central platform for catalog, promotions, OMS, and store operations. - Extensions: For hardware integrations like cash drawers, printers, and EDC machines. - Firestore: Used for storing advanced per-store/channel-level configurations. ## Unified Commerce Advantage Store OS shares the same backend as the e-commerce website (storefront), enabling: - Multi-channel fulfillment (e.g., Self Pickup + Home Delivery in a single order). - Integrated customer journey across online and offline. - Flexible selling configurations at the channel level.
