# Product Mapping & Setup

This phase connects your internal SKUs to FirstCry’s marketplace catalog. Proper product mapping is essential to sync inventory, manage listings, and process orders.

## Understanding Product Mapping

Product mapping creates a relationship between:

- Your SKU (internal identifier)
- FirstCry Product ID (external identifier)
- Inventory location
- Pricing
- Selling status (`Active`/`Inactive`)


**Types of Mapping:**

1. Auto-Mapping (recommended for large catalogs)
2. Manual Mapping (for precision or missed SKUs)
3. Bulk Mapping (via CSV/XLSX upload)


## Auto Mapping Process

1. Navigate to **Products → Channel Mapping** in the left menu.
2. Click the three-dot menu and select **Auto-map Products**.
3. Choose **FirstCry** as the channel and select your account.
4. Click **Start Mapping**.
5. Watch for the **Auto-map started** pop-up.
6. Check **Auto-Map History** for progress.

## Manual Mapping Process

**Best for:** Specific SKUs, new products, or items missed by auto-map

1. Navigate to **Products → Channel Mapping**.
2. Click the kebab menu (three-vertical-dots icon) and choose your **FirstCry** account under **Demand**.
3. Click the **Product ID** field to enter the marketplace identifier.
4. Activate each SKU in the **Status** column.
5. (Optional) Set **Buffer Stock**, toggle **Active**, and click **Save** (✓). Buffer stock reserves inventory to prevent overselling by holding back the specified quantity.

1. On **Products → Channel Mapping**, select **Bulk Map**.

1. Upload your CSV or XLSX file.
2. To view history, click the three-dot menu next to **Bulk Map** and choose **Bulk Mapping History**.
3. Activate mapped SKUs in the **Status** column.


## Product Activation & Status Management

1. **Active Products**
  - Appear on FirstCry marketplace
  - Sync inventory
  - Eligible to receive orders
2. **Inactive Products**
  - Hidden from listings
  - Do not sync inventory
  - Useful for seasonal SKUs or testing


**Activation options:**

- Toggle individual SKUs and click **Save** (✓)
- Use checkboxes to **Bulk Activate / Deactivate**


## Advanced Mapping Features

1. **Buffer Stock Management:** Set at SKU, location, or channel level (e.g., 100 units total, 10 buffer → 90 available)
2. **Product Attribute Mapping:**
  - **Standard:** Brand, Size, Color, Category
  - **FirstCry-specific:** Manufacturing Date, Expiry Date (FMCG), Certifications
3. **Variant Mapping:** Map each size/color/pack variant as a separate SKU, linking to its FirstCry Product ID.
