How to access on Fynd Commerce

Commerce panel → Sales Channel (select application) → Orders → Return Eligibility

Introduction

Using Product Return configuration, you can set up a return window at different levels for your products.

Steps to set up Product Return Configuration

  1. Go to Settings section of your sales channel.
  2. Click Product Return.
  3. Select the level at which you would like to set the return window for products returned by customers:

Product Level

Choose this option to set an acceptable return window (in days or hours) while editing/creating a product.

Category Level

Select this option to define return windows at the category level.

When you choose Category Level, you can configure return eligibility for specific product categories instead of individual products.

Steps to Configure Category-Level Return Window

  1. Go to Settings in your selected sales channel.
  2. Click Product Return.
  3. Select Category Level.
  4. Click Manage.

You will be redirected to the Configure return window screen.

Add Categories for Return Configuration

  1. Click Add Categories.

  2. In the Add categories panel:

    • Search for categories using the search bar.
    • Filter by department if required.
    • Select one or more categories using the checkbox.
  3. Click Add common return window.

Set a Common Return Window

  1. Enter the return duration.
  2. Select the time unit:
    • Days, or
    • Hours
  3. Review the selected categories.
  4. Click Save.

The configured return window will apply to all selected categories.

Manage Configured Categories

On the Configure return window page, you can:

  • Edit the return window directly in the Return Window column.
  • Change the duration value or switch between Days and Hours.
  • Delete a category using the delete icon.
  • Use Bulk Upload if you want to configure multiple categories at once.
  • Click Save to apply changes.

After saving, all products under the configured categories will follow the defined return window. If a category does not have a return window defined, the products in that category will not be eligible for return.

No Return

Upon choosing this option, no products or categories of products will be eligible for returns.

Finally, read the message in dialogue box carefully and click Continue.

  • By default, a Product Level option is selected.
  • Suppose you are switching from a No Return option to a Category Level option. You are now setting up a return window for different categories (for example, Jeans, T-Shirts, and Formal Shirts) at the Category Level. Once you save this configuration, any products that DO NOT belong to these categories will not be eligible for returns.
