The Storefront Builder AI Assistant is a conversational AI assistant built into the Theme Editor. It can both advise and act — merchants can ask it questions, get suggestions, or instruct it to make changes directly to sections, blocks, and design settings.

Click or press again to close it.
The Storefront Builder AI Assistant is context-aware: it knows which page and section are currently open. If a section is selected before opening it, that section is automatically included as context in the conversation — no need to describe it.
Make changes directly:
- "Add a testimonial section below the hero banner"
- "Remove the promotional banner from this page"
- "Move the product grid above the featured categories section"
- "Change the primary brand color to navy blue"
- "Schedule this banner to appear only for the next weekend"
Design help:
- "What color would work well for a flash sale banner?"
- "Should I use a full-width or contained layout for this hero section?"
- "The homepage feels cluttered — what sections should be removed?"
Content and copy:
- "Write a headline for a summer collection launch"
- "Make this product description more persuasive"
- "Give three options for a CTA button label on a sale page"
How-to questions:
- "How do I schedule a section to appear only on weekends?"
- "How do I show different content to logged-in and guest users?"
- "Where do I configure SEO for this page?"

The Storefront Builder AI Assistant is a general-purpose assistant for any question or task. Other AI tools in the editor are purpose-built for specific outcomes:

- Generate a new section from scratch (can add pre-defined section templates though) - use Generate Section with AI in the section browser for full HTML/template generation with data sources.
- Generate a visual color palette - use the AI color palette tool in the Colors settings for palette preview and one-click apply.
- Generate SEO meta content - use AI SEO directly from the SEO configuration panel for meta titles, descriptions, and meta tags.
If the theme is currently locked by another user, the Storefront Builder AI Assistant is disabled. The button tooltip will say "Theme is locked by another user." Requesting access re-enables editing and AI features.
